XLScholastics - College Planning and Consulting provides expert help and guidance in the college application process as well as resume building and college planning advice from 8th grade upwards. We begin with an initial in depth consultation focusing on the student and their aspirations. Our goal is to treat each student as their own and provide individualized and undivided attention to every student. Our services do not end with the application process, but we also help with making the ultimate decision of choosing a college.

Our retainer package for rising high school freshman, sophomores and juniors is ideal for students wanting a comprehensive plan to help them prepare for their future. Working together, we can generate a list of colleges and formulate an action plan that will enable you to achieve your goals. Each student will be offered two formal meetings per semester and other meetings based upon request.

Our application process ideally begins during the summer prior to senior year. Pricing is based on the number of colleges and the complexity of the application and is not a fixed fee in order to be fair and affordable to all families. Our services include the following:
- Develop a final list of colleges based on student's interests, academic record, passions and values as well as parent's concerns and wishes
- Provide each student with a timeline of deadlines
- Monitor the application process from start to finish
- Assist students with developing resumes, prepare for interviews and research scholarship options
- Brainstorm ideas for essay and edit essays and personal statements
- Scholarship help and suggestions
- Assist families with questions and concerns throughout the process
- Evaluating college offers
We are happy to suggest scholarships under our comprehensive college application package. However, if the student needs help with the various essays needed for the scholarship application there will be an additional charge.
